Fine art supplies, slime, etc loads of things, skincare, makeup, etc truly it does make a huge difference to the longevity of perishables but it’s also safer for a lot of living things. So it makes more sense to keep the environment at a constant cool or cold temperature and wear a warmer outfit than it does to keep it off and let the homes get hot. If they have furniture made from any cheaper or thinner materials they can warp in the heat too, wood and cardboard and plastics warp in the heat, certain materials warp irreparably in the heat. So it not only preserves all of the above but it extends to preserving building materials, paint, cleaning and construction chemicals, it prevents mould growth, it prevents pest activity, it’s just a smart thing to do, if you can afford it.
