During the trial we heard that one of the first things John's mother said to hear was "You left him ALONE?", clearly blaming Karen for his death. I highly doubt she would have been any less accusing when Karen went to the house, especially if she saw the crack from hitting John's car. 🤷🏻 She was smart to immediately get a lawyer. I really don't think she had a particularly good relationship with his family even before John's death. It really doesn't take much for people that don't like you to decide you did something wrong, while covering for the people with more clear evidence of involvement. I hope this eventually reaches the right result, but I sadly do not believe John's killer(s) will ever be brought to justice. His family will forever believe the Norfolk spin, in spite of the evidence to the contrary, and think she did it. All I keep thinking is that John deserved better from EVERYONE in this case. From cops, to prosecutors, to family & yes even to Karen & her lawyers. I get why they're running the defense the way they are but it truly is so sad to see how little JOHN has been remembered in this case.

God only knows how he’d feel if he knew that his mother laughed during trial as Proctor’s dehumanising comments against Karen were read out, or if he knew that his brother threatened Karen saying he “wasn’t finished with her yet”. It doesn’t matter how sympathetic someone is or what they’ve been through, nothing ever gives anyone the right to treat another human being like their life is worth nothing. Who did they think they were? KR supporters know all of the players, don't they? And these are elderly people so, clearly not law enforcement or the CW. I am not deep diving into the internet crap personally because there is so much vitriol and pure speculation. It's super toxic. And EDB's focus is always "facts, not fuckery."

Emily let me first say I love you and am a long time sub. I want to say why I feel the family has been getting the hate from regular people. I hear you saying the family has the right to want to know what happened but this is not how the family acted. They believe despite the evidence that Karen is guilty. The brother said they know she is guilty from her one time action when she came to her ex house to get her things. All of this evidence all the hiding and lying means nothing because he’d behavior when picking up her stuff proves beyond a doubt for them that she is guilty. They refuse refuse to believe anything else happened. The pure evidence of O’Keefe not being hit by a car just blows peoples mind and because of that blindness they don’t get a pass. If they really wanted the truth they would demand answers from all parties. But because of not daring to cross the Blue line they will only believe what the police say. People are tired of being killed and arrested by bad cops. There is a cover up and like Proctor said the police looked at Karen as guilty from day 1. Even O’Keefe’s mom who I’m sure is so lovely refuses to look in any other direction but Karen’s. Sad

Wonder if the O’Keefe family , have ever wondered, after listening to Jens call to the Emergency services , she isn’t fraught, she describes John as a guy, is this John, her friend whom she loved. !!! and she never says, he is on my sisters lawn. . If she was unaware of John and innocent, In my opinion, her demeanour should have been distraught saying , my friend John is laying injured on my sisters lawn. In a frantic tone.

In Massachusetts, judges must rotate court cases. The defense can request a higher court to have this judge be removed. The defense has not done this. The defense is making a lot of mistakes.

Let’s get some love for the band kids and band Parents!! We have 2 band kids. My daughter was DrumMajor last year as a Jr. We were so proud! She gave up DM this year because she missed marching. BandTober in Texas is only a few weeks away. I’m ready to put on a master class in shoe shinning!! When the team is not that good band is always great! Let’s go CHS Band!

I've heard it said that the 20/20 footage was possibly done before the verdict. That maybe everyone was expecting an acquittal then it (ineffable horror) became a retrial? So they were then sorta forced into making a duckbilled platypus documentary which avoided anything actionable which might jeopardise the retrial? Surely they can't have the Keystone Kops back in the witness box for the return match?

The sit down interview was done about a year before the trial. The one that she’s in a hotel with the suit jacket on was done right before the trial started.

Wouldn't it be something if Proctor's location data showed he was at Brian Albert's yard after he played with KR's taillight and before they let the search team begin the search. I watched a YTshow last night on the Brady violations/ motions for evidence. His phone might explain why the defense did not get the evidence they were entitled to receive from him.

What if any credibility does Proctor or the DA’s office have if there is not only poor investigative protocols followed by Proctor but perhaps selective investigative quality depending on each individual case he and the DA’s team deemed worthy of a proper investigation? What if any credibility does Lally or the DA’s office have if his What if any terminology turns out to be an identifying feature of anything legal he’s had his hands on? or if this homogenized terminology identifies DA Morrisey’s employees and signals the possibility of ineptness and/or corruption and/or an inability to discern between actual evidence and conformation bias connected to any case that may have come into their office?

Emily cheered and complimented the DA's office for saying they were "considering" hiring outside evaluators. What?!? Why? The District Attorney %should have no involvement with the outside firm evaluating Proctor's work phone data, including paying them. Or there should be two outside evaluators, one selected and paid for by the defense as well. It has been shown in studies over and over and over that Expert Witnesses who honestly believe themselves to be neutral are in fact thoroughly biased by who is paying them.

One of the biggest jury concerns that I can see going either way is potential jurors that either hate or love KR ,and not being honest to get in the jury pool. Just so they can get their lick in per say

The biggest glaring differences in her interview and the defense theory and witness testimony we saw in court, was that she said she remembered dropping him off and saw him go inside. Witnesses said she didn't remember driving him there the next morning. And her own attorneys didn't challenge those withesses on Karen's statements that she left him at the Waterfall. And only wanted to go look for him at the Albert's when Jen told her they saw them out front yhe nught before. Huge red flag there.
