Went fishing in one of these last weekend... it was a really awesome boat! Stable and FAST... I was out paddling people using trolling motors on the lake I fished at. Only knock is that the opening to sit in is a little short for someone that's taller - 6'2" & 250 lbs. Couldn't stretch out my legs fully. It would be nice if they could make one of these with rod holder holes... then would be just about perfect.

Yes I agree with the length. Any taller than 6’1 it starts to get tough. I’m so happy you enjoyed it as well. Where are you fishing?

Since the Grand River Conservation Authority is not renting kayaks/canoes this year more and more people are bringing their own...Be it roof rack, inflatable like yours it is a wonderful experience. i kayak in Rockwood...whole new perspective cf the trails...you do a great video!

I'm seriously wondering whether the two-person version of AirEvolution 2, which is much wider than the single-person version, is not uncomfortable for paddling?

I have the AF Convertible and am thinking about upgrading. What I don’t like about the AirVolution is that it seems to be almost like a sit-on-top. 😕

Excellent video! What about an E-Twow GT SE electric scooter taken down the river with you and then using that to get back to your launch/put-in site? Anyone have a suggestion for a waterproof duffle bag for the scooter which is 1060*324*150mm or 42x13x6inches and 29 pounds with a range of 15+ miles?

I didn't see the skeg installed as you were lifting the kayak. When do you lock it in place and how do you prevent it from hitting bottom when you launch?

It's a great question. With how shallow this river was, I didn't end up using it. I found I had enough control for this style of river to be fine without. When I have used it in shallow water, I typically just launch it stern first and keep the skeg in deeper water.

Hey Matt - check out NRS's SUP Board Whitewater & Grass Fins. I have the tandem version of the Airvolution kayak. Both fins fit perfectly and work well in shallow water.

How did you get back? How is the leg room for someone six feet tall since you cannot slip your feet underneath?

John Berger I actually left my mountain bike in Paris and rode back on the Rail Trail. I’m just over 6 and my feet sat nicely on the rim. I wouldn’t advice for over 6 feet though!

Hard for me to say really. I took quite a few rock bumps and it held up great. The construction is really solid, but at the end of the day it's still inflatable and there are only two chambers.
