Hold the line guys. Kellogg’s can’t hold out much longer. Once this cuts into quarterly profits you’ll have shareholders on your side telling them to strike a deal and get back to making them money!

The problem with corporate greed is the fact profitability is never enough for the investors. Corporations have to make record breaking profits infinitely and the only way that happens is when they do mass layoffs, low wages, and union busting.

@Crz-97 Sugar sugar sugar and artificial ingredients.... are killing most of America anyway. But everyone deserves decent wages and benefits that support a family for an honest days work. I'm sick and tired of CEOs selling their souls for ridiculous salaries and stock options whose job is to brutalize their workers... and a government that doesn't give a damn about it's own citizens. Frankly the whole country should go on strike.

Some workers at my university had organized a picket. My uni sent us this crazy ass email basically saying we shouldn't go near them and don't talk to them or take their fliers. The email made it seem like the workers were rabid dogs. Of course, now I know more about unions. Solidarity.

I am confused: How are well-compensated workers bad for business? To pay above-market wages leads to less turnover, no? Less turnover leads to lower hiring costs (i.e. background checks). Retaining experienced employees increases efficiency, which means more products reach more shelves. Is anything I wrote incorrect? I am a willing listener.

Exactly like what Walmart did. Made tons of money being the few open markets during covid shutdown. Workers being essential. Forced to work risking catching covid from customers. On a 6 point system. Fired for 6 absences. Then cut lots positions so long time workers are forced out. Hire part time workers to save money on benefits. Then Union support isn't allowed.

A fair amount of blame for this also galls on their union representation. If their elected union reps stood up and fought for them this may have not gotten this bad. This 2 tier thing sounds like they want an apprenticeship. Always 2 sides to every story and as 25yr union member I’m well aware of what unions are, they’re main goal is always self preservation. If these members aren’t holding their leaders feet to the fire as a whole this will continue to happen

Hey KELLOGS! When a great percentage of employees must work 6 or 7 days a week you're doing something wrong. High taxes, everything costing 25 or 30% more DOESN'T MEAN employees deserve low wages to keep cost down. How much have you increased your product cost? Your wages? DON'T SULLY YOUR OWN NAME.

Not all Kellooggs plants are Union Our place it’s not a Union we pay our own insurance, and we work hard just like they do, we don’t complain because nothing will be done regardless, It’s a big corporation, and when they say they will send there jobs to Mexico they mean they will send that product to Mexico They have a plant in Mexico that makes cereal already, so it’s not going to hurt the company on any way, I try not to complain it’s not easy being there on weekends And working 12 hours but I had pay off 3 houses My kids have never been hungry And we have always have a car and heat at our house, I understand that it’s frustrating And that people are tired of working 24/7 Maybe the agreement should be to have a rotation in place Maybe they should work 12 hours 3 days on 3 days off That’s my opinion.

@Maintenance Man I agree with you 100% That’s not even a question!!!!! And to top it all off, because they got a raise Kellooggs it’s going to get there money back by F… 🤬🤬🤬🤬 The none Union plant like ours they are going to either take our very small bonus check, reduce our 401K Contributions or never get a raise ever And our raise it’s only 23 cents anyways They should be ashamed of themselves To be doing all of this!!!!! If I didn’t have such a short time to retire I would definitely would quit, but I am almost done so I deal with it. Plus I work first shift.

They are. In fact, their presence even raises the wages of nonunion workers around the country. When Reagan started union-busting, those low-wage, "crap" jobs soon followed. And have persisted until things started to change recently. There was upskilling at workers' expense and downwaging. Reagan was responsible for the majority of the adverse circumstances for workers in the last 40 years. He also introduced stock buy-backs, which is where some of the money that should have been paid out in wages goes and which incentivizes those in the C-suite to keep doing it because they get more money. When you buy back stock, it raises the stock's price. Part of their compensation is stock options. That increase goes to the people in the C-suite. It's time for a change in wages and the way workers are treated. I think this strike has contributed toward changing workers' circumstances for the better and it's about time. Great wishes to all of you.
