I checked OpeningTree.com and found that, as Black, I've faced this line 17 times with 11 losses, one draw, and only five wins. It's highly effective at the lower levels.

Attacking with one piece. 😂😂😂 Not even Jerome would approve.

Great video Ben! I'm sure you showed this gambit in a video I saw a couple of years ago, though you didn't give it a name back then. I've found that this gambit works four to five times better than any other gambit line, white or black, and I was surprised that you never returned to it. One thing I didn't realize was the extent of the alternate lines where white can still do well, such as black playing bishop to e7 instead of pushing the h pawn. That's definitely something I will incorporate into my games.

Great insight thank you.

This is so dubious, king can just run in the corner and be surrounded by pieces 😂

As I said, it depends on tricking the unwary traveller. If Black is wary, it could easily backfire.

Its a fun line to play, dubious yes. I lost to it first time i faced it. Looks like a lazy way to play the scotch hehe. But as you mentioned, after bishop to e7 and king f8 white has nothing, as a mater of fact black is just crushing , its a very strong response. As always im gona enjoy watching all types of filthy and dubious stuff you bringing here , its just too much fun ;)

I just checked on OpeningTree. I've faced it 17 times, lost 11, drew 1, won 5.
