I saw them open for Hank Jr in the old omni convention Center in Atlanta in 91 or so, the drummer did a drum solo for what seems like 10 minutes man, he wailed on them things . after he was done he jumped over the drum set and did a shirtless pose down that Arnold Schwarzenegger would have been proud of. Pretty awesome concert all the way around

That this song peaked at #25, back then, tells you how great the music was in those days. To me this was a strong candidate for the best country song of the year, and I don't care where they put it on the charts. This song grows on you, and you sing along with it, so many others you get tired of and they burn out from too many listenings. I think this is one of the most inspired songs of it's time, for all the elements coming together so beautifully.

A very underrated group. I know they're famous for putting their unique spin on everyone else's hits, but who cares? They're still awesome. It's also awesome knowing that four of the five guys seen here still tour as the Kentucky Headhunters. Keep hunting, Doug Phelps, Grady Martin, and Robert and Allan Young!

I was at a Fair that the Headhunters played. After the show was over and the crowd was gone, they toured the livestock barns. Had a great chat with the drummer, and he was just an ol' farm boy like me. It was a great time, to be around a famous group and realize that they had walked many of the same paths as me. God Bless em, y'all!

Please someone, bring back more groups and songs like this! Country today is just pop rock crap on top of more crap. You cant even dance to the "new country". Even calling it country gives country a bad name.
