I saw them open for Hank Jr in the old omni convention Center in Atlanta in 91 or so, the drummer did a drum solo for what seems like 10 minutes man, he wailed on them things . after he was done he jumped over the drum set and did a shirtless pose down that Arnold Schwarzenegger would have been proud of. Pretty awesome concert all the way around

That this song peaked at #25, back then, tells you how great the music was in those days. To me this was a strong candidate for the best country song of the year, and I don't care where they put it on the charts. This song grows on you, and you sing along with it, so many others you get tired of and they burn out from too many listenings. I think this is one of the most inspired songs of it's time, for all the elements coming together so beautifully.

You say, you're sorry once again, dear You want me to take you back once more You say, you need a helpin' hand, dear Well, that's what you told me once before Walk softly on this heart of mine, love Don't treat it mean and so unkind Let it rest in peace and quiet, love Walk softly on this heart of mine WALK ON Music break I know someday, you'll find a new love I'll feel your heart has turned to stone But please, let me down real easy 'Cause loneliness moves in as you move on Walk softly on this heart of mine, love Don't treat it mean and so unkind Let it rest in peace and quiet, love Walk softly on this heart of mine Walk softly on this heart of mine Walk softly on this heart of mine, oh

That drummer's beating the hell out of those drums! He plays alot like Tommy Lee of Motley Crue!

+Bill Lunsford To even mention Fred Phelps with that POS Tommy Lee is pure sacrilege.

Don't worry about that other comment. He is a great, amazingly talented drummer so if you have your own opinion as to who you think someone or they're style of singing, dancing, performing, etc reminds you it's not my place or anyone else's to make you feel wrong about it! Isn't that y they're called opinions? Isn't that y God gave everyone their own personal brains and personalities.... 👌😊✌

That’s one song I’ve just about wore out my CD player to by hitting the repeat button so many times! The only thing wrong with the song is that it’s too short! Haha! 😁
