I have to admire your patience and calm demeanor. After spending $18K and this was a result,I'd be sorely pressed NOT to have someone's testicles swingin' from my rear view mirror. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.

O-H-I-O Porters🇺🇸I love a big drink & even with ice, but then the ice waters the soda down too much. I prefer a can or bottled soda, but certain fountain drinks do taste better, depending on where you get them. I like a separate cup of ice….so I can add it to my drink as needed. You would also feel that “GIVE or PLAY” when you’re braking. Either way, they didn’t check their work & that could cause big problems. Hope that you inform them of the situation anyway. They should make it right. I’m thankful that you found the issue & could do the repairs rather easily. Lesson learned…Put the tools back into the truck. Or better yet, go to Harbor Freight & get some new tools for the truck! I’ve slept in the lower bunk & I rather enjoy it. I love a standup sleeper with a double bunk. It’s humbling when you can’t do the work yourself, but you found the problem. Blessings my friend! 🥰😎✌️

You have a Webasto bunk heater? Easy to install, thermostat controlled, burns 2 quarts a night. I had that and a Webasto block heater that was on a timer. Set it for 45 minutes before you plan to leave, truck fires right up nice and toasty. Saves wear and fuel idling all night or on lay overs.

I appreciate your calm demeanor regarding the missing bolts. It's frustrating yes, especially when you spend big money at a "professional" shop. But thngs happen, even at "pro" shops. Glad to see you're back on the road as well. I retired over 2yrs ago after nearly 30yrs of driving. I'm done driving a semi, but I really enjoy your shots of you behind the wheel heading down the road. Oh the memories! I miss it sometimes but retirement is better! Stay safe and Happy Holidays to you, your family and your viewers.

I'm glad your demeanor is better than mine , what the hell is the matter with the mechanic that did the alignment,,, trying to get some one killed!!!!! one of two things he or they used the wrong grade bolts or they forgot to torque the bolts & nuts on them period !!! i'd grab that repair order take it back to the place where i had the work done first & be strongly in someone ear,, good thing you caught it i'd hate to think that it would have caused some one to be hurt

We had an entire frame rail replaced on the White FREIGHTLINER and lost the shift linkage on the highway. FREIGHTLINER came out and ran up and down the highway until they found it. Went back to the shop that replaced the rail and talked to the kid that worked on the truck and found out he had a whole can of “left over cotter pins” on his tool box that did not get reinstalled. They were from various clevis pins, like on the shift linkage, the pin that attaches the clevis to the cab tilting cylinder, causing the ram to go through the front of the truck after punching a hole in the aluminum skin. Very frustrating!

I do the same with fountain drinks. More ice than Doctor Pepper. Lol I use the Styrofoam cups tho because the ice doesn't melt so fast, and I don't have condensation from the cup getting all over. When you left home with First Class, was everything OK with the pretrip and just kinda wiggle loose as you were driving along? I'm not looking forward to the cold or snow either. Happy Thanksgiving, and stay safe!

Took a truck into a shop to get the APU serviced many years ago. The young "mechanic" tore the whole truck apart including the removal of the generator. He had to remove the quarter fender on the passenger side(slide tube) on a Freightliner. APU was under warranty and he took the entire day to diagnose a loose connection. He then lost the shop ticket that I had to sign before starting work on the truck. He just barely finished before closing time. Stopped at the Pilot in Amarillo and while I was fueling I noticed something different on the passenger side of the truck. The quarter fender had fallen off on US287 in the dark unknown to me. The ace mechanic forgot to tighten the tube bolts. Anymore you have to go behind anyone working on your vehicle and make sure the job was done properly.🤷♂️

I had a local harley shop do some work on my bike. My wife and I were on a road trip, and my heel shifter fell off. I went to the harley shop, and they said Harley riders should know that the heel shifter on harleys fall off all the, you should always carry a spare in your saddle bag. I said, "Maybe if your technicians did quality work, we harley riders wouldn't have pack spare parts around with us. It's funny. All the times I've taken one off, they didn't fall off.
