We need more revenue expenditure than capex, because we have always been fixated on capex. So money keeps circulating in some circuits only. So it doesn't really spread and doesn't fix inequality.

The Govt. can directly generate jobs. Hire a whole lot of policemen, judges, data collection people, tax dept. employees, teachers etc. Also fill up existing Govt. vacancies. Hire army-men, instead of Agniveers on contract.

the fiscal deficit actually goes well with the rest of the story. i guess we aren't yet ready to criticise this assumption that fiscal deficit is of key importance. the public investment that came on after covid led to the recovery (uneven as it was), and now the govt will pull it away. why? fiscal deficit.
