As I'm sure we all know, there are plenty of award shows out there that aim to celebrate the best movies, tv shows, music, and games of the past year. But the problem with most awards shows is that they waste your time, talk down to the audience, and give awards for the wrong reasons. Except, of course, for the Kid's Choice Awards. Ever since 1988, the KCAs have been a staple of Nickelodeon culture by giving kids a voice in the entertainment children. Kids vote for their favorite things of the past year, people get slimed, its great. But what makes the KCAs so special? Where did the Kid's Choice Awards start? Why is Victoria Justice still not dating me? All those questions and more (except maybe that last one) will be answered as we take a look at why the KCAs are the BEST award show of all time. #nickelodeon

Unironically, KCA 2012 is my favorite, the whole creepy voice trying to sabotage the awards plotline had me at the edge of my seat as a kid, plus it started with Will Smith parachuting from the Nickelodeon blimp onto the stage which was really cool *Unfortunate that 10 years later, Will Smith is now seen as one of the biggest jokes in Hollywood and media as a whole* 💀 #CMG4KCA
