This character has haunted me... every move is getting calculated n prepared n executed. From morning routine to how I do monologue to myself. Even my belief system too has matched his one. I have always been a fan of David Fincher's cinematography.

This is kind of like Washington’s - ‘Man on Fire’ meets DAVID from ‘Prometheus’ - looks like DAVID has a twin Brother on earth, with a twist of aliases in his credentials that are 70’s TV shows, Odd Couple, Happy Days, Mary Tyler Moore - nice touch by the writer. Messerschmidt’s path to glory is going from strength to strength, much like Florian Hoffmeister in TAR. So Fincher’s surrounding himself with a good pool of talent to keep his nose in the game. It’s not for everyone, this feature. But it does have its sustaining moments.
