I noticed that he doesn't start at the "start" of the song ("I did my best to notice...") but much further in the song when he's performing it live - does anyone why? I guess it's just to shorten the song and he picks his favorite line to start with??

Brandon will do these shortened acoustic versions at times, I think its to bring the crowd in. He does it often with Spaceman also , but then will do the full band version later in the set.
