Late in his life he certainly became quite bitter & had a lot of anger issues. He was talented in his own way but his talent was never as big as his ego.

I'm not sure he was totally estranged from all of his sons. .. two or three of them were invited to the funeral despite being disinherited (from what I've heard). He also specifically excluded all his grandchildren as well. Finally you glossed over 1st wife Patti Lewis who was from all accounts a lovely wife and devoted mother who lived to 99 years of age, dying in January 2021.

His sons took the mothers side and even sued there dad and constantly bad mouthed him. Jerry gave his kids and wife the high life and was knifed in the back. Good call Jerry Lewis
