The real Mr Satan in KOF is Antonov, at least in '14 he had the exact same personality lol. The announcer does remind me a lot of the dude from the Cell Games who was basically Mr Satan's hype man

The sub-boss and final boss is somewhat like revamped version of KOF97 gameplay, the KOFXV sub boss is a combined Orochi Blood Leona and Orochi Blood Iori while the final boss though the movement skills is not the same but look at the background, the KOF97 final boss Orochi's symbol or the circle-like symbol is somewhat like similar. As you can see and relate the final boss in KOF97, the voice and the background is also somewhat like resemblance to each other...The intro story before the gameplay and background is the same: the winning teams are brought to the another dimension. Same also in KOFXIV into KOF96, they are in the real world but in destruction of Goenitz and Verse... I think KOFXIV and KOFXV is a "revamped versions" of KOF 96 and KOF 97 respectively.

I knew it. Ever since SNK got bought by Little Millenium, the series has started feeling a bit more safe and reductive. It felt more like they're trying to recapture the glory of the Orochi Saga because those where the two most famous sagas in the Asian market. There is some new ideas at play, but they don't really get the proper breathing room between all the big fan service. I would like to say that next KOF actually lives up to the name "Shatter All Expectations", but I'm not holding my breath. Get ready for KOF 98 - 4K Rollback edition.

probably only teams that reached the end of the tournament and are important to the story had a cutscene, now it is implied if the team hero, rival, ST or ash won the tournament

They don't get special cutscenes sadly since they aren't really significant to the whole god/verse plot. The only story thing that both those teams have is solely centered around Kula.
