@Sifd In Primitive years, boilling water was extremely tricky, it was done mainly with trial and error, the most common concept was that they gathered the water in animal hide (thick hide preferably) and they used hot stones to heat up and eventualy boil the water. The tricky part was that most stones have either water trapped in them or air, and as they heat up they tent to explode. Hope that answers yor question :)

You can also boil water in a plastic bag. And cook full meals in a paper bag you just have to put like the bacon on the bottom then eggs on top and what ever else you may want to cook and hang it over the fire. I have done this many times . I have been in to survival and living off what you can find for many years. And there are many ways to boil water but this is the first time I have heard about doing it in a bottle ill have to try that on my next trip. Thanks for the new advice.

Sifd I disagree with your take on learning history, I think it’s essential for the general population of any country to know how to identify when something similar to whatever historical injustice is happening or just to understand why something won’t work, logistically. Especially in the context of what if it works now. I agree in some cases that that’s the way but I think more often than not it will just recreate issues already solved in the past or even create the same problems they already caused for us today. Like for a fun example, lets say someone is sick and tired of how badly cars affect all infrastructure in their country. They also aren’t renewable resources. They decide it’s time to retire them and look back to what we did before, ride horses. I mean it makes sense right, horses can be fed by renewable resources but also are technically renewable resources themselves! It’d create a ton of jobs, since a ton of people will need to create stables and things in peoples homes. It sounds pretty good right? Well let’s say everyone else agrees the idea is pretty good for whatever reason due to a lack of interest in any problems with horses in the past, nationwide horses replace cars. It’d probably start well but then after about a year or so… it’d get bad. Something a lot of people didn’t realize is happening. Horses are shitting literally everywhere and it is ruining the entire country because they produce so much more than they had ever expected. Due to learning of history being opt in barely anyone knew that this was a major problem in places like New York City before automobiles were invented, and it was even projected back then that the area would literally be unlivable due to the amount of horse shit produced with nowhere to put it. This is a really wild example but it’s true! There’s tons of things like that that get pitched even now, and that’s with history typically being a major part of education worldwide. There are more dire examples I could bring up like it preparing the general population to be able to identify tyranny or fascism but I am not doing that in the brotato comments section.
