Now that I've seen this, I simply must have one lol. I might just have to build myself one with a Predator engine or a small Cat industrial engine in it.

This was NOT the only type of this basic tractor....Gibson had a very similiar one Wisconson powered and a tiller, my uncle had one !!! Hell 55 years ago I built a similiar one with a 8 HP Briggs Stratton and use a Ford Falcon narrowed rear end and I turned it up side down to get the drive line up higher, u jointed to the Falcon 3 speed Transmission and a chain drive went to a jackshaft fed by a twin V belt that worked as the clutch via an idler pulley. had 2 brake master cylinders, for individual read wheel brakes. Only I used a manual steering box and a large pulley with a hose taped around the groove for a steering wheel. it also had a manual 3 pt lift for a plow, cultivator disc and an old Merry tiller. I used that tractor for close to 30 years and wore out 2 Brand new Aluminum Briggs Stratton 8 HP engines !!! Great tractor. I upgraded to a 14HP Kubota B6100 D and run that for years and upgraded to a new New Holland 24 HP diesel with front loader and a back hoe. That NH was an expensive piece of junk as the manual remote shift linkage was really sloppy, and would leave it in one gear when shifting to the next gear. Tore the trans out split the aluminum transaxle case and NH wanted more to fix the tractor than you could buy a tractor for. it got parted out and went the way of the doodo bird !! !

@@jamessullivan9992 I don't any of them anymore. that tractor I built and used for 30 years, was 55 years ago !!! !It is long gone when I bought the Kubota and Kubota is gone when I bought the New Holland piece of junk and it it gone and I replaced it with a 74 Ford 3000 and it is also gone, neighbor has it now. getting to old to work with tractors and the need is gone, all the rocks and dirt moved and all the ditches dug. I still mow the lawn with a 2019 Husqvarna rider ..... I just watch other people work !!!

I had a 1951 Power King. Looks identical except for the steering and fuel tank. Mine had a 15HP Wisconsin with an electrical, 6V starter, a round fuel tank, and a hood with a steering wheel. The chassis, wheels, steering linkage, and almost everything else looks the same. I have pictures of it, but I traded it for a very specific firearm a few years ago. I have a 1961 Allis D15 now. I miss that old PK!

cute machine. the tiller is bass-ackwards though
@MFKR696
@MFKR696 4 жыл бұрын
No it's not. It's set up so whichever direction you're pointing the handle of the tiller is the same direction the front of the steer tires points in. If you want to see "ass-backwards" steering, try operating a Raymond Dock-Stocker. It's a 3-wheeled electric stand-up forklift (the cockpit looks and functions identically to a Raymond Reach, which more people have heard of) with steering that is literally reversed. Now *that's* ass-backwards lol. This tractor would be much easier to get used to than a Dock-Stocker or Reach. When I first started driving Dock-Stockers, it took me literally an entire two weeks to get used to the steering. It normally takes me only a few minutes to get used to strange controls.

I thought the same thing, let people option out a tractor form the cheapest Chinese motor to a BS Vanguard. PTO vs no pto. Just like the power kings. The Cheapest new tractor is over $10k. Something like this you could do under $5K. I don't think it will work people want a "name brand" status symbol, not practicality.

No safety on it , you would get sued in a minute. No common sense anymore. McDonald now put a warning on a hot cup of coffee,because they were sued by someone who was burned... Plus everyone in the us needs to make 15 dollars and hours, workmen’s comp,liability insurance. Everyone has there hand in your pocket.
