The King of the World | 2018 Lexus LX 570 Review

Based off the Toyota Landcruiser, the LX 570 is the ultimate SUV. Luxury, comfortability, space, power, durability and reliability. It is the pinnacle of Luxury SUV's, a dinosaur in a world of evolving tastes (crossovers). If I only had one Lexus, this would be it, the LX 570!

This really is among the finest vehicles in the world. I’d take one over a Rolls-Royce Cullinan any day. Seeing that gorgeous hood while driving is such an old-school experience that you just don’t get in modern cars. I think that thin slot ahead of the shifter is for inductive charging of your mobile device. Sport+ mode is useful in twisties where you want to reduce the body roll that you experienced. You can actually put these in fairly deep water even without a snorkel because the factory mounts the intake high up already. I bet getting rid of the “H-N-L” second shifter from previous models really made these rigs less confusing to the typical Lexus buyer. lol I covet these also but can’t imagine giving up my LX 470, it’s just perfect.

God I still miss my 2000 Land Cruiser, only had 73,000 miles when I traded it in for a garbage new Jeep Patriot in 2013. Price of fuel was too high for me at the time. (I was 18 at the time)

I searched for 7 months before finding what I wanted: 2008 lx 570; under 74K miles. I got it for all the obvious reason and bc it can tow 8500lbs. I tow my horse trailer with it, in absolute luxury. My children call it the beautiful beast. The previous owner never drove it on the freeway. I took it on a 2500 mile road trip over the summer, and now it drives even better. It’s like the engine is just getting broken in. I say wait and shop for what you want in your price range. It’s worth it beyond every premium fill up and Lexus spendy service. Best car decision I’ve ever made. Feels like it’ll go easily into the 400K mile range. Keep up the great reviews, Kirk.

My 03 v8 4runner got that double visor feature but 2013 GX460 don’t :( Anyways, today I got to drive one LX570 two things I love the most: very tight steering and at lower speed 360 camera is on automatically helps you in and out of tight spot with visual references what a cool feature! And what’s not cool? Heads up display will disappear when you put sun glasses on. Overall exactly what I would imagined, will get one next time.

I don’t understand your experience with GX brakes. I came from a couple of Mercedes SUVs and own a Mazda. The 2023 GX brakes are as good as any of them. Much like you describe in this LX video. My 2004 Tacoma has brakes like you describe.

Mr kirk you do very good reviews you are also a lexus fan like me the lx is the king predator Ls is queen predator and nx is the baby predator ux is a newborn nothing like toyota,nissan,mercedes,genesis,chevy,dodge and ford on my list.Please kirk do a review on toyota tundra 1794 edition.The seats of lx 570 are just like my lazy body sofas that are at my home😍😍😍😍🤗🤗wow!!! Lexus is a very hard working company and also kia is also very hard working as their newly formed luxury brand genesis is competing with very big companies such as mercedes,audi,bmw they are trying really hard to make their luxury cars cheaper than rivals to grab the piece of sales pie.

It looks so much better in F sport package Here in South Africa we also get the 4.5 twin turbo diesel v8 that you also get in the land cruiser The 5.7 is an amzing engine but With the price of fuel and it being such a drinker the diesel is much better option sadly yourll do not get this option in the us

@@TheNetToffee well in South Africa we also use litres Even if both petrol and diesel cost similar in price Diesel takes much longer to burn So you will have much better consumption Maybe around 8L/100km less

In terms of styling and interiors Range Rover rocks!!!...scratch that...Range Rover rules. No contest. But in terms of reliability. RR unravels. And Lexus comes into its own. Indestructible comes to mind. So one must make a really fundamental call. 1st World Problems 😂😂 I wish we had RR styling and Lexus reliability. That would be Awesome
