Music is medicine. It is the only thing that can put my mental health back on track. I am 51 now, and I have been in choirs since I was 6 years old.( I was lucky enough to have been born with perfect pitch.) I also have autism and ADHD. I have been a Kings and Kings Singers fan for years and spent many days in Cambs (from the other place). I’m a psychotherapist and Durufles Requiem so follows the stages of grief from sadness to release that I rely on it to process grief. You guys sound great and I will have to get this album.

The English choral singing tradition that has molded the harmony of the King's Singers has its roots in medieval monastic liturgie. It cannot be compared to the American college choir tradition that is so much younger. Furthermore this is an all-male or equal voiced sixtet compared to a mixed-voiced ( male and female) quartet with a beat-boxer who sings from time to time. The repertoire is totally different, one pop and rythmn with an open sound based on the calling voice with American sound colours and the other pure harmony singing based on the more closed classical sound with English sound colours. Enjoy each of them with what they can offer.

Something that I can't get my head around or like these singers.. Remember sing something simple on the light program in the 60s? The Mike Sam's singers.. well these people unfortunately sound like that.
