Blessing upon us by the song. Beautiful Home, beautiful land, beautiful place on the faraway Strand, Beautiful Country where my friends have gone, Sorrow and pain, trouble and care, none of these will ever be there, Heaven is waiting now for me, Beautiful Home. Chorus: Beautiful home of pure delight, beautiful home of mansions bright, And I know I'll live in one, some day, Beautiful sights there to behold, beautiful gates and the streets of gold, I will have a beautiful home some day. Beautiful homes, beautiful crowns, glorious singing all around, Have a reunion on that golden shore, We will be there, happy and free, satisfied ever we'll be, Praising the Saviour for His Love evermore.

These were the days when musicians actually knew music, played their own instruments, and made lyrics that made sense.
@daveprice79805 жыл бұрын
so you are saying that Imagine by Mercy Me and Mary, Did You Know? by Mark Lowry as they are newer songs don't make sense?
@lineygoblue3 жыл бұрын
No canned music. Just skilled musicians. Good stuff.
@anonymousaccordionist33262 жыл бұрын
@@daveprice7980 This is an old comment, but I feel compelled to say that Mary, Did You Know doesn't make any sense. While the music is beautiful, the lyrics are ridiculous, because the Bible very explicitly states multiple times that yes, she did know. The song is pointless.
@daveprice79802 жыл бұрын
@@anonymousaccordionist3326 your comment is cold and makes no sense. We guess that you are not human. Things happen to us that we know yet it has not hit us 100%. Maybe the word better would be 'realize' rather than 'know'.

I always liked how Gary Shepard could hit all the high notes with little or no effort, and Ray Reese could rattle the rafters with the bass part. The Kingsmen at their very best. And Anthony Berger.. probably the best ever.

Beautiful Home was written in the summer of 1970. Shawn Obrien and I wrote the song for the funeral of his maternal grandmother.

Yes, we will have a beautiful home one day. it will come down to us, here on Earth. That's what John said, at least. _"I saw the Holy City, the new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God...."_ (Rev. 21: 2, NIV)

You all should look up the Kingsmen live in Chattanooga 1977 when Jim introduced Little Ernie. Thomas Nally has that sound. It’s a Kingsmen Tradition

Also there are differences in mics. My hubby sings bass. He says the bass mic 🎤 has to be ‘hot”. Usually a special one.
