I'm not 100% sure of the story but if the kinks had simply agreed to pay the Teamster/Mafia their dues to drive the trucks they would have been bigger than the Rolling Stones in America but any civic center allowing a non union truck to unload at the back loading dock would have been blackballed by the Teamsters/mafia so the arenas had to choose between 1 kinks concert or nothing. It's to bad but the KINKS still kick ass😊 I won't say the Beatles but the Kinks blew the Stones and the WHO out of the water.
