as a Kirby fan, my brain short circuted when i saw Wrestler. we had that already. it was called Suplex.

I thought the same thing, but it seems like they wanted Suplex to be more unique visually while also giving it moves that aren't all dash forward and grab, so that its balanced for a vs. game. Though I'm sure we won't get Suplex again now that it exists, so I'll miss it.

Ahh, this takes me back to when I played Kirby Star Allies (about 1 year ago) and Super Kirby Clash (also 1 year ago). Both games are nostalgic to me. Seeing both combined into one Kirby fighting game is great! ;)

Well, this Kirby game is much smaller. And its not focused on inputs and all that like a fighting game so its also meant to be easier I believe. However, I swear I heard the Kirby game had worse Online. If it doesn’t, I heard someone else say it could be a test to add better netcode to smash? But that’s probably false, well see.

I originally thought it was based off the Chinese monkey with a staff sun Wukong but then I remembered that Kirby is Japanese and should be based of Goku kid guy who is partially based off Sun Wukong.

Do you have to do the street fighter inputs for fighter kirby?

@@therunningranger4297 If its anything like Return to Dreamland (I haven't gotten to play the last 3) then you don't have to use the inputs, just normal Kirby ones. BUT to do the Hadoken faster you can do the Down Forward motion, otherwise you have to charge it up first. But there isn't any other special inputs. So no worries if you are like me and can't do them.

Goku is inspired from the Monkey King (called Son Goku in Japan and Sun Wukong in China) from the old chinese Novel Journey to the West. It's why you get the copy ability from a monkey in the main games. The Monkey King has a magical extending staff and has massive strength and incredible speed. He can make clones of himself which is referenced in Totally Accurate Battle Simulator where he's one of the secret Units. Can shapeshift and can freese people in place... so be glad they didn't give that Copy Ability Witch Time as it's down move XD

4:20 It'd be a good chunk of his moveset for sure, but he'd also have his blue spotted umbrella, the assist star (role in 3ds games), and maybe even a few megaton fighting moves. It's not an overwhelming amount to work with, but it can be enough if you get creative with what he has.

Dreamland 2 is on Gameboy, and he sometimes showed up after defeating a boss again I believe. Dreamland 3 is on SNES, he was player 2.
