What a fun movie. I met Dean Karalekas in Budapest and have also enjoyed his company for some time - very talented in many fields, but didn't know about this movie until he lent me a copy. A fun movie to watch, looks like the cast had a great time doing this film.

@poagao Great job, then. Especially with the airship. Why don't you try submitting it to the various on-demand channels like iTunes/Netflix/Amazon?

@yesnack The budget was whatever we had in our pockets. We never really calculated, but probably somewhere between NT$50k and NT$75k I guess. It took us two years to shoot, and another two years for editing and special effects. All of that was finished in 2008.

Dude, what was the budget on this? I see wardrobe, FX, and props out the wahzoo. It was a long time in the making. I'm glad to see it finally about to come out. It's sort of like having a baby. Now you are in the push, push.. phase :-)

The star kinda resembles William Riker from Star Trek. LOL The CG dirigible looks awesome. The helicopter look good. The CG gun flashes look a little off (don't quite match with the actors movement), but that's the only nitpick I have. Is production finished? When will you have a final cut ready & how are you hoing to distribute it?

cool.

@poagao You can also go 1920s-style and tour it, but chain cinemas make doing that somewhat difficult although somehow Kevin Smith is pulling it off with Red State. There are a few independent cinemas in Taipei...like the Red House...it would come down to the time & energy needed for self-promotion.

@scomargotw "Coming soon" was all I could say as I'm still not sure.

What time frame does "coming soon" mean? I've been following your RPP chronicles blog page for a few years now.

@bqwebb Well, keep in mind that all of this was done several years ago with that time's technology, and all out of our own pockets. If we were doing it today we'd most likely be using HD-capable DSLRs and the latest special effects software. But production was complete by the end of 2006, and all post production except sound and music was done by 2008. As for distribution, we'll see.
