Excellent! I don't know any of Blackwood's stories, but if this is a typical example, I shall be looking for more. Many thanks for bringing this story to life. The outline of the tale is simple and straightforward - as is often the case - it is in the way in which it is presented (and in this case, narrated) that the interest lies. I rather think the victim would be ready for that holiday and change of scene, by the end.
