This is amazing! I've watched so many of these videos and am touched by how all animals of all ages treat each other in the same loving, nurturing way. Even a kitten acts like a grown female cat, laying down and letting the chicks line up and sleep against its stomach. And the holding of the one chick in front was just adorable. Even roosters show up and babysit kittens if they are found unattended.

Ducks imprint on the first living being they see after hatching and attach/bond with it instantly. These babies think that the cat is its mother who will show them how to be ducks in the world. Which, the cat, of course, cannot. It is a severe mistake to allow ducks to imprint on a cat that cannot show them where to go to eat, be safe, swim, etc. The cat took them to a mudhole instead of a lake where they could learn to swim and eat green matter in the lake for nourishment. These ducks will never learn, or be given the opportunity, to learn to be ducks in the world because of this big mistake. A big disservice to the ducks. Not so cute afterall. 1 Reply
