I'm not deaf, I can hear that Scru can rap-rap. But for what he's saying? All I hear is race-race-race-black-black-black-white-white-white. This is pretty much Benzino round two. I don't think people like Scru understand how BIG rap actually is in the world. Hell, most of rap is probably not even American anymore. It's everywhere, Mexico, South Korea, Japan, India, UK, Germany etc. And it's not just "black rap" imitations, it is its own rap. It's completely different depending of the country. American "culture" rap is only one kind of rap. I'm a 38-year old dude from Poland. When I was a teen the only two US rappers most people knew was Pac and Eminem. That's it. And hip-hop culture was skater culture here. We called kids from this social group "skates". The very first thought you'd have about a kid listening to HH in Poland in the early 2000s was a guy wearing cargos, riding a board and sitting on a carpet beating stand behind the flats talking smack and smoking cigs. We have our own rap culture because we are our own country. Poland is 99.9% white. Our rich people are white, are poor people are white. The people with power are white, the people that are struggling are white. We are our own people and our HH evolved together with us.

Exactly this. And every group of people that absorbs rap into its culture ends up adding something to rap. Brazil blends it with bossanova. Far Eastern countries add their own influences. It blends with rock and electronic music and jazz and even classical music and it continues to evolve. Scru doesn’t seem particularly interested in that idea. But if hip hop is a sport, he’ll eventually have to learn that just because you invented the sport, doesn’t mean someone else won’t take it over. Basketball was invented by Canadians, and football by the Brits.

That's so shit because people who downplay a conflict to a "sport" are the first to throw stones and then hide their hands. Most consumers unlike back in the day are WHITE. Not racist. It's just a fact. So I'm only saying that so yall are aware. Perhaps you Stans could think about how you could help the culture more. @@NothingNowhere-ck4jh I mean right? You've got good points, too. And I'm glad you realize these things. Think about it, Shaq admitted that he told his fans to hashtag Scruzino and guess what, they did it! They covered their ears and hash tagged everything to ruin Scru. But isn't it crazy that even Shaq decided to idk do what's right and talk to his fans/Stans? Every KZbinr who knows about this must be learning the power they really hold WITH their followers. It's real power. But when misdirected, or misused, it can become problematic. That's why even their favorite artist Eminem has been having a hard time with his fanbase. And other rappers. Scru said his first song (Euphoria remix) was not a disstrack, so Knox dissed Scru first and Scru's response (Not Like Us remix) was his first disstrack. This feels like pure bs. He started the song talking about culture vulture and "you gon die on that hill" but now he claims that it was not a disstrack. You're right, Shaq. I was supporting Knox over Scru. I think his music is better but, even before hearing any of that, it's a question of integrity and credibility. Knox has worked to try and make mental health issues less taboo within hip hop culture (which has a higher than average s--c-de rate), he's given shout-outs and congrats to other reactors and artists celebrating milestones (babies, career successes, etc), he's shown loyalty to the reaction community by standing up to Benzino's copyright takedowns, he's had the guts to admit his mistakes and apologise for them, and everyone who knows him on here speaks highly of him - which tends to mean he's a solid dude. Scru, on the other hand, beefs with everyone, pretends to be something he's not, shows no loyalty to anyone, nobody rides for him (which is always suss...), showcases his own ignorance by picking on people with disabilities he doesn't understand, clowns those with mental health issues, and clout chases. He makes it hard to like him. Also, Scru's claims of "standing up for black people" and all this race-baiting he does, just don't stand up to scrutiny. In 2021, the National Institutes of Health (NIH) found that almost half of young Americans are living with mental health disorders, and young black people are disproportionately disadvantaged - misdiagnosed and not receiving the correct treatment. Scru continually calls anyone white in hip hop racist, yet he is one of the only reactors I've seen who doesn't talk about mental health in a positive or open way - and actively clowns people for struggling, instead of trying to break stigmas. The bigger white reactors (Knox Hill via his music and chats, and Cliff Beats via his chats and how he ends his videos) are both doing far more to help black youth than Scru - and Scru was raised by a therapist (albeit one who committed fraud...), so he should know better and be doing more if he "cares so much" about the culture. He's in no position to be calling those who give back more than he does (& all the reactors give back more than he does).

Well said. The irony is he says Kendrick is his goat (even though he spent years telling us that Jay is his goat, but whatever) but doesn't really seem to know that his last entire album was based on therapy and mental wellness. Scru actually kind of outed himself when he listened to Drake's last diss where he mentioned Mother I Sober. Scru never picked up on the fact that Drake got it wrong, Drake misunderstood the whole story of that song and Scru didn't say anything. A true Kendrick fan would have known that. Scru is so fake

Scru saying that his Euphoria remix wasn’t a Knox diss is the biggest load of shit I’ve ever heard. I really hope that’s not what he’s gonna stand on. He clearly went straight in at him. Can’t go re writing history when it’s right in front of us lol

I think he was saying it wasn't a diss track, just a throw-in jab line and he wasn't expecting a full diss track response

Imagine you wrote an essay and I told you what your essay was about and that whatever you said your essay was about is bullshit. You see how crazy you sound?

If that's the case he's not that great of a writer if other people reads the essay and it comes across as something else.

“I wanna see you eat but not with me.” Everyone always think it’s gotta be about being tough or trying to start beef every chance you get. It’s okay to be civil with someone you don’t come eye to eye with.

I heard about y’all during the KvD beef and I gotta say you are one of if not the most genuine of the reactors I’ve seen on KZbin.
