My first long distance boyfriend, when I was 18, would sing me this song and I would listen to his recording over and over again, until he told me he was in love with someone else, but regardless, this song he recorded for me would always remind him of me. Now they have a kid and are happily married. But don't feel bad for me. I still love the Kooks and I still hold this song in a very special place in my heart. He is such an amazing dude and this song will forever be ours, somehow. And no, I am not in love with him, it was such long time ago. I am also married and with a kid on the way. Just saying this song means a lot to me for not just him, but everything else I was going through in that period of my life. It was such a difficult, but still good time when I was actually fuguring out who I was in this crazy world. The Kooks are amazing 🤍
