In this video I test the Kral Puncher Pro 500 from 40 yards to 90 yards. The rifle performs extremely well out to 70 yards, but at 80 yards and 90 yards things get more trickier as the wind starts to have its effect. As long as you know the hold over and windage though, this rifle should easily be able to handle any of these distances.
Conclusions: A very good quality rifle for the budget, and capable of 1/2 inch groups out to 50 yards.
For tuning of the Kral brand have a look at Annihilator Guns USA:

Enjoyable video thanks. Wish you would have chosen paper targets on the further distance tests as think that would have shown grouping better. My past was working with air rifles but never got myself a pcp rifle. I now quite fancy one. What would you say are your 5 top pcp,s best for accuracy and price in 12 ft lbs? Years ago I sold lots of Theoben rapid 7s and falcon pcp’s as well as spring and ram rifles, just wonder how much more accurate they are now. Thanks.

Thanks for the honest and detailed review. Going by the design and layout of the stock it looks like a great contender for 25yrd bench rest user nsra rules. As a budget shooter I'm very tempted... I've been using the new BSA Scorpion TS for 8 months now and find it to be an excellent reliable all rounder with superb accuracy, it might make a good subject for another budget review if you could loan one?

I have an NP-500 with the Jumbo barrel shooting 880fps with the 10.3 Air Arm pellets a little less with the 10.5 crosmans. Great accuracy, consistency and lots of shots [10-14 shot mags] for a non regulated pcp. Setup for Hunter FT here in Canada limited to 20 ft/lbs.
@airgunsniper-elite7385
@airgunsniper-elite7385 4 жыл бұрын
That's interesting. So the legal limit for Airguns in Canada is 20ft/lbs without a Firearm license? That's what it should have been in the UK. It would have helped a lot for 100 yard targets. I believe the HFT at 55 yards was designed for our sub 12 ft/lb rifles, as they are too loopy in trajectory pst that, even in.. 177. I know you aren't allowed silencers, but can you still own more powerful air rifles with the correct permit? I was over in Canada on Vancouver Island for around 9 months in 1980/81 and at that time the only restrictions were on hand guns, but you could still own one after background checks. .

I suppose in one respect the shroud screws into the breech and there are o-rings between the barrel and shroud, so that will give it some support. If you did want to fit a barrel band there are plenty of 3D printer people doing parts for airguns now days, so it wouldn't be too hard to get one or two made.

Hello Simon, this rifle belongs to club member, Dave Palmer. The scope used was made by Discovery Optics, which are a great brand of scope made in China, but don't let that put you off. A lot of the branded scopes such as Hawke and others are made their as well. The brand is really growing due to how good they are and value for money. I shot three of Dave's different Kral's and this one was definitely the best. It was an improvement over the Kral Puncher Jumbo with the thumbhole stock due to the upgraded trigger. You can see another review from Big Dan's Airguns on youtube, as he also did a review on one of these. Regards the Brotherhood, I am the treasurer of Nottingham Branch of the Parachute Regimental Association and get around to a lot of the Airborne events. Our Branch also have a lot to do with Chesterfield and Sheffield Branch and meet up when we can, so you may have seen me at one to the annual events around the Country, or even on Facebook at a related event. N M Products near sheffield sell some of the Kral's and they are usually good value compared to others if you live in the area.

It's entirely up to you. It's something I got used to doing when in the Army. It opens up poriferal vision to see what's going off around the target. Looking through a scope can give tunnel visio to dangers outside the scpoe view.

Between 1983 and 1997 Did first three years with Parachute Field Ambulance, then went to 23 SAS until 1992, followed by three years in 4 Para 16 detachment. Treasurer of the Nottingham Branch of the Parachute Regimental Association. Have quite a few members of 2 Para in the Branch. Falklands vet Carl "Purcy" Purcell 2 PARA and Shaun Hanley, plus Danny Blair and Grant Grinham from 3 PARA. From what I have seen the ATA Airborne looks a good rifle and almost thought about buying it because of the name. Not heard anything bad about it. The Kral and Hatsan are now well established brands and are very accurate, but there seems to be more manufacturers appearing from Turkey over the past year such as Aselkon and Retay. The latest Benjamin rifles have also been made in Turkey, so they can't be that bad. I have had problems with my Retay, but other manufacturers of the same design have different build qualities. Cattleman Guns in the US have a really good design known as the Pneuwa in different models, which look the same, but with better build and quality control, which they hope to start selling in the UK soon.

Not at the power of this rifle. There was a tuner in the US, I think his name is Troy Hammer. He used to custom tune Krals to big bore, high power, so with those, maybe. They probably produce 200 or 300 ft/lbs of energy.

No sorry Steve. I haven't even seen one advertised in the UK. Some of the more powerfull ones and big bore plus semi or fully automatic ones don't even come to the UK due to our strict firearm laws, even though you could buy one with an FAC, semi and fully automatic rifles are not available here either, even on a firearm permit. .22 rimfire semi auto are allowed for some reason, but the airguns are treated like full bore firearms.

Just remember to give the barrel a good pull through before shooting it. They tend to use a lot of preservative to help prevent rust while in storage. After 40 shots the groups should tighten up.

I enjoyed the video. I'd recommend you stop using a bipod. They are hunting aids IMHO.... No good for bench, despite everyone using them... Your right about your pulse I reckon... But think about the bipod it's the perfect front vertical hinge. Use large soft bag and get lower to the table there is less of your body involved in vertical variation just my opinion, all I do at the moment is shoot bench over and over I can't get enough of it.

At sub 12 foot lbs I am surprised that there is enough adjustment in your scope to shoot 50 yards.
@airgunsniper-elite7385
@airgunsniper-elite7385 2 жыл бұрын
Hello Dale, With sub 12ft/lbs rifles they are quite capable out to 60 yards for scope adjustment. 55 yards is considered the max range for HFT / FT shooters. Once you go out to 70 to 100 yards, that's when you need adjustable mounts, or lower the power on the scope. At long range it is best to use a scope where the reticle comes all the way to the bottom of the scope. We have shooters that hunt rabbits out to 70 yards with sub 12ft/lbs rifles. They do this using laser range finders and apps like the chair-gun to make the shot. Just check out Simon Pittaway on vermin hunters TV to see this in action.

I didn't realise the Leishy 2 was so expensive. Plenty of other options for that kind of price. You could probably get a Steyer multi for that kind of price if that's what is needed, or two or three well-made rifles for the price of the Leishy 2.
