Recreation of the 1992 The Krypton Factor closing credits theme tune performed by Art of Noise. I created this in Cubase in June 2016 and used the HALionOne, Groove Agent One, Korg Legacy Digital M1 and Wavestation VST instruments for the sounds. The theme was composed by Anne Dudley and J.J. Jeczalik. This version was created by Oliver Sacker.

There was also a junior version called Young Krypton, but I only ever saw 1 series of it before it got cancelled. I wish I’d been born just 4 years earlier!

Wow, another excellent work! It would be great to get some Ed Welch re-creations on here such as a full version of $64,000 Question or All Clued Up. Superb.

Very clever. I wouldn't even know where to begin to choose instruments to replicate that, especially with those last few notes where it's very punchy.

A very good reproduction, but it lacks the crunchy, companded sound of the early 1990s tv.

"Another"? I'd heard mixed things about the 2009/2010 revival. Dunno if ITV Studios would be interested.

Absolutely brilliant. Is there any chance we could get a demo of you making any ?

Thanks for your comment. That's a great suggestion, but the recreation process is too lengthy to show in a video (it takes many hours), and for a lot of people, would probably be quite tedious to watch :)

Very good - I thought it was the original until half-way through!! Probably more reverb was used on the Fairlight orchestral stabs by JJ/Anne (or Trevor Horn). A great effort with all that percussion! (The original 1970s Kyrpton Factor tune was also good.) Another great theme from the 1990s was Alan Lawrence's theme for BBC2's "The Net". It's heard here: kzbin.info/www/bejne/p3LcoamCg5Jpq80

Actually no. The reverb on the Fairlight hit on the original had a little more predelay but was actually fairly 'dry' for Art of Noise. There was a lot more compression on the drums though and a lot more gated reverb on the snare and kick and don't forget everything had to be perfect mixed for mono TV so all the levels were a lot more accentuated than for stereo masters, but this is pretty tight for a cover.
