The KTM 790/890 Billet Rack by Perun Moto [Review]

I installed the large rack on my KTM 1090 R but the attachment holes are too small for standard ratchet strap hooks. Any suggestions on finding straps with smaller diameter hooks?

If you have to put on a big roll bag like the Enduristan Tornado L/XL (50/80l), which rack do you suggest? The smaller one or the bigger version?

I honestly think they’d both do the job but the larger version is obviously going to give you a bit more surface area. The large also has additional tie down points.

Does it git to the ktm rallye seat?

They were awesome! However the larger rack wore a hole through the reckless 80 which we will be publishing a video about. I think it maybe could have been avoided if the 80 was moved further back. However the smaller rack did not give us any issues.

@@AdventureRig thanks for the update. I've just been using my stock rack with the handles removed, but I've been considering buying the small perunmoto rack. What would you say is the biggest difference over stock? I installed the Reckless 80 and it seemed fine, but it was only for an over nighter. I'm wondering if there would be issues long term for my 2 month trip this summer. Great channel and fantastic content!

@@yurgon I like all the attachment points on the Perun as well as being able to mount Rotopax on them. And I think it looks more sleek then the stock setup. But if you are just attaching Mosko luggage you can do it with the stock rack as well.

I am running a large on my 21 890r. I have had either my tool bag or my reckless 80 strapped to mine for probably 80% of the 20 thousand miles of the rack and bike. I have noticed the initial fade of gloss on the powder coat but besides that the rack is super solid. I wouln't even consider the fade of gloss a issue at all. Lots of vibration between luggage and rack when riding offroad and just in general. I have few other Perun items... super solid.
