I had a dumb headcanon that makes kwamis getting sick and needing food make sense. Basically kwamis created mini forms for them to puppet as if they were oc so they could observe the human realm and interact. So they choose what they need and don’t need, gimmi is the only kwami who doesn’t do that so that explains why they seem like they just woken up, they find no need to interact with humans as they would just ask for wishes.

For example, what Kaalki did in that Gang of Secrets (sorry if I'm wrong) by almost revealing themselves as a Kwami just because they are excited is childish, or irresponsible and dangerous to borderline stupid because they know they can't be seen or they will endanger Marinette and people around with Hawkmoth sniffing here and there. Childlike wonder is innocence or purity that often reminds and endear people of a child. This is what the writers get wrong. They should've made Kaalki excitedly budge Marinette for a blueprint of a car because it's CARS. Usually boys are interested in cars and the specs, but adult guys are interested in how convenient it would be for them and maybe how it would look on them.

I feel like the kwamis physical form are like an avatar that humans can understand and comprehend, kwamis have limitless power but thier physical form do not , and must transfer energy by eating if they didn’t , they would take energy from thier holders , but this harms underage and disheartened holders , only those who are mentally and physically mature can endure this process (why adults can use their powers multiple times) the time limit system is implemented to protect underage holders , but those who use the miraculous for evil purposes do not get this system to proct for them

I’d say personally that each of the Kami’s is the opposite of their owners example Sazz is way more rule pronated than Luka. Luka is about going with the flow and helping hie friends at all cost.meanwhile sazz is much more practically on how to solve problems Marinette is way better at colt controlling her impulses much better than tiki is. And plague is much more outspoken and headstrong then Adrian is There are more example

The show takes a lot of inspiration from Japan. "Kwami" comes from kami(神) which is often incorrectly translated as "God" for a lack of a better term. More accurate is "Deity", which includes way more creatures. Calling them deities and spirits is more accurate. Another example is the akumas. It comes from Japanese too. It's based on akuma(悪魔) which translates to "evil spirit". In the west monotheism is the biggest form of religion, but if a western religious person were to tell a Japanese religious person that they worship God, the Japanese person would likely respond with "me too, I set aside leftover rice for my ancestors and avoid the number 4". Hence the confusion lol.

It wasn’t just glass, the entire contraption was made using the same process used to make the miraculous in the first place. The Kwami are concepts, not God's and they can only exist in the world if their miraculous exists. Gabriel destroyed all the miraculous and used the creation process to make his contraption, trapping them
