A few years ago, I decided to jump out of the AEW Jazwares line. I am a day one collector of the WWE Mattel line, so my primary focus is on that collection. Two main reasons led me to stop collecting the AEW Jazwares line. Firstly, the distribution to stores is bad, and secondly, breaking right out of the packaging. I don't know anyone who saw Supreme Series Two in stores, and I am not willing to pay resell prices for them. Additionally, I've experienced one or two figures breaking as soon as I remove them from the packaging. When I contacted Jazwares about this issue, all they could offer was a replacement figure, but not the specific one that had broken.

Staining, feel cheap, scaling imbalances, overseas distribution is non existent and feel like we’ve seen some characters like 70 times (exaggeration I know) but feels like there’s not near enough rotation

Suppose this isn’t an issue as it’s an intentional choice but I feel like the chases need the amounts increased. No other major figure line does it as bad. The crazy low numbers just feel anti-consumer.

I agree with your criticisms. I saw King Diamond last night, what a great show.

I feel #4 isn't Jazzwares fault, it's the wrestlers and Tony. Back when LA Knight Elite hit international retail, he was wearing the red costume on TV again and he's not the only one to return to a costume when the toy hit the shelves. It's great marketing and plays into why Jeff Hardy said to have multiple looks years ago; merchandising. They're helping their toys sell by actively advertising them. AEW should be doing the same across the board where they can. AEW is only new old stock down here in Australia. Unrivaled 14 is our latest wave and came out of nowhere. You're absolutely right on the pins and stains. The pins make the future look out of date and the staining shouldn't be happening and it shouldn't be happening this far into the line.

#4 is how I feel about wwe games. But you are correct Kyle.

Listing my five gripes before I watch and see yours. 1. Staining 2. Scaling issues. The size of the figures is increasingly out of control. 3. Distribution issues. 4. Awful head scans. 5. Too many Moxleys.
@DonDaBomb1315 сағат бұрын
1. Scaling (some are way too tall, etc) & bad parts choices 2. Staining from black soft goods 3. Some Bad Face Scans. 4.Weak Elbows (they seemed to have fixed that recently) 5. Not taking advantage of the Luminaires Line (with Jeremy leading the way, this line should have been like a modern day Jakks Classic Superstars line, could have signed many non-WWE signed talent for figures)

As a customizer I can get behind pinless arms but pinless legs are the Bain of my existence! The staining on the AEW line really killed my interest in collecting it. I have a handful but not anywhere near my WWE collection.
@JoshEmrey15 сағат бұрын
1. Need more Legends/Luminaries with all the classic talent that have appeared or work/worked backstage. 2. Scale & face scans (some figures too tall and guys like Cage & Wardlow not being muscular enough. Not to mention title belt scales.) 3. Championships not being more available or released in belt packs. 4. Not enough new/never before made figures, AKA Too many repaints. 5. Too many exclusives.

I don't pay attention to AEW stuff, but I feel like their distribution is better than Mattels. It could be that they're not as in demand, but I actually see AEW stuff on the shelves refreshed every month or so, while Elites are blink and you miss it, bare pegs for months.

I also don’t like how they take forever to come out with waves they announce so that they constantly have to redo the lineup. Like you will get arn Anderson and then never mind or captain insano and not anymore. I know lineups change but honestly, I would rather that be behind the scenes and they just let us know one or two waves in advance not six or seven.

Kyle I know you're talking about the jazwares figures in this video but you made a comment about complaints about the head on Bret Hart figures. I tend to notice on Bret figures both jakks and Mattel the face always looks more like Sean Waltman than Bret Hart

I'm done buying them and I might offload the non supreme figures that I already have. The faces are often bad. The shirts stain the figure. Why are we still using pins? You create an exclusive figure like the RSC Jay White or Takeshita and don't make it pinless? Insane.

OOF!!! The top of my list would be the super loose joints with legs and ankles wanting to spin around all willy nilly and awkward looking, and some of the elbow joints seem like they are gonna just bend and break right off the bicep if you are not super careful. But then again, some figures are perfect. I was pretty heated about my Nigel McGuiness though. Right out of the package his legs, thigh cut, shin cut and ankles were all in different directions!!! And good grief the loose ankles/rockers and shin cuts you could whirl like a fidget spinner!!!

My only real complaint is the staining from the shirts, which are honestly making me not want to collect certain figures that have bare skin because I know if I put the clothing on them and decide to take it off it’ll be stained and my other complaint that they have gotten better at is not having outlandish head sculptsas the primary head without having an alternate

I agree with your whole list but I’d like to add the flimsy/rubbery feeling joints. So many of my AEW figures feel like you can just remove the forearms just by bending it a little. They get super loosey goosey too. Another great video tho, Kyle. It’s good when guys with a bigger following like yourself address these issues, people tend to listen

For me, the pinned joints would be at 5. That's a design choice, and would be expensive to retool. Staining is absolutely the number one! I don't like soft goods to start with, but if they can't execute them without ruining the figures then don't.
