I grew up on a jersey dairy farm, some of the best years of my life. We also showed them at the fairs, which actually had the 1982 overall dairy National Grand Champion. We milked about 100 jerseys. Just found your channel, loved the video, looking forward to seeing more.

Jerseys! Guernseys !! NOW you're talkin' MILK COMPONENTS! And sweet-natured. Very little "downside" to either breed, unless climate or other factors enter (heatstroke in Fl, for instance...) Perhaps the most ideal "family cows" possible.
