The year before Lebron came all of these players were on the team except DLO who came a year before. All were first round. - Brandon Ingram - Julius Randle - Josh Hart - Caruso - Jordan Clarkson - Lonzo Ball - Zubac - Kuzma - Thomas Bryant - Larry Nance Jr - DLO All of these players were talented but unfortunately had a young coach in Luke Walton who had no experience at developing or coaching young talent like the Celtics do. I often wonder if the Lakers had patience to develop a core around this team, where would they be today if the players were coached and developed properly like the Celtics.

Knecht is an undersized SF, not an SG. Not sure his lateral mobility allows him to stay on court (despite all his shooting prowess) against elite NBA athletes. But, yeah, I understand the LAL front office, you don't pass on such an opportunity 2 years in a row.

Sorry but the biggest need for their team was a shooter who could be a level 3 guy. DK is all that and more. DK is going to have to be doubled and when you do that against him defensively, the rest of the team rises, drawing critical cover men away from other key players. In this case LeBron and what he'll run inside. Elite teams doing this against TN with DK simply lost the vast majority of the time. Average on defense at the best defensive school in the country under Barnes at TN, you got to take the upside. When you could get a steal from him, was usually early on and very seldom in late stretch time in games. He has quick hands and has picked as much as he's been picked. As his speed inproves from good in the SEC, should be good steady improvement on D at the next level. I will take him turning it over a couple times a game if he's a scoring machine.

DK was responsible for absolute chaos in the SEC last season. Imo, personally responsible for UK's coach getting the boot. Was fun on rocky top watching all those opposing team players and coaches drop their heads time after time in games watching the 3's rain and this guy drive and score inside..
