Kalina viral story: Nestled in the east, the northern end of West Bengal is Darjeeling, popularly known as a tourist destination, and also for its tea gardens. Kalina Rai, a worker in a tea estate, stays about 20 kilometers away from Darjeeling in a place called Pulundung. The Lallantop's team consisting of Vikas Kumar and Rashid Ali Kazmi, as a part of the Bengal state assembly election coverage, had visited the tea estate and had telecasted a video describing her daily challenges. Also, she narrated the fact that she doesn't even have a house to call of her own. Eventually, as her story travelled, hundreds of reels and Tik-Tok videos of her narration went viral. Now it is being learnt that a local NGO took up the task to build a house for her. This new year would be a new beginning as she would move to the newly built place, something that was a long-cherished dream!
