Work and save or trade labor for an older Cigarette boat. Get a couple nice used motors that need rebuilt. They don't need to have 2700 hp to be fun. and a smaller Cig boat will be less cost to run and maintain. If I hit the lotto I'll have one but, I've seen them suck down $300 of gas in 45 minutes.

It is the new 48 foot offered by MTI. Came with the new twin Mercury 1350hp motors. This boat sells for $800k - $1.4mil and has been available for several years now. Check out the Phantom and Windship, 2 other 48' high end MTIs that also do poker runs. This yellow boat is named Raging Bull and is based out of Miami and was custom made to resemble the owners Lamborghini hence the nickname the "Lamborghini Boat"

so 2 twin turbo big block chevys I think. those turbos sounded like turbine engines to me that whole time then I see the engines at the end. in the 80s they would use 4 big block chevy with hilborn injection. looks like now a pair of boosted big bocks do the trick with less weight to consider. right on. I bet the turbine setup is hard to beat though.

The Cig was running twin 1550 Mercury racing. The Lambo was running twin 2k. Both boats are just mind blowing fast. But the Lambo had it in style.

You only have to change the gear box's from road car to marine gear box's with a converter ring job dune and you can put a car engine in, they make the converter ring in the USA.

Also, no skier wants to go that fast. So, I am happy to know the boat has speed and power but I mostly hit 100kph to give the fish time to get out of the way. Lol

Lake Eildon is just a large and long man made placid lake snaking around many mountains and its arms stretch over 80 kilometers at the longest stretch of water and some 40-45 kilometers in width among side branches. It's not used for drag boat racing but a lot of holiday makers with boat go there on their annual and school holidays. Google it, the Internet is amazing. It makes you feel almost at home when you visit the places you've been. My usual stay is at a place called Bonnie Doon Lakeside Resort, in Bonnie Doon. Been there for many year before I bought a Salem. You can also google Salem Boats to see what a Salem boat is, a sleek 6 meter boat used for family skiing or raceboat. It's a hull for both. My model is a 1988, though I have kept it because of the shape and stability. Today's Salem boats are a bit fatted up and bulky, probably aimed at family skiing which the boats are really stable for. I haven't seen one racing though. Cheers mate.
