Handing out money for someone to provide a service that you can do yourself for free sucks. But think about it; that's time you could spend doing a photoshoot, appearing at some event, networking, even just resting... write a book or something. Plus it prevents the frustration of messing up somewhere, and even more critical, you can't get hurt - which would be the worst thing that could happen to you, period.
