Loving the look of the app, and the features, it kind of makes me think the display on the bike is redundant, I could just mount my phone on a Quadlock and use it instead.

We agree with you, but… - A display is a DOT / FMVSS requirement. All on road motor driven vehicles require a display with warning and mandatory “indicator” telltales.
