It will never cease to amaze me just how much bigger the Sun is than the planets it holds in orbit. Like, when this animation finally showed every object of the solar system and the Sun not even being halfway done... that was genuinely scary

Cool video and concept. I also like how the visualisations for larger celestial bodies in here are much closer to being photorealistic than most I have seen on youtube so far.

This was super creative and amazing to watch! Like with everyone else, nice job with the true colors. Despite each TNO being short, combined, their section lasted longer than Neptune's or Uranus's! It definitely goes to show the mathematical effect of diameter, circumference, volume, and surface area for differently sized objects.

Have you ever realized that if you compare Jupiter with a perfect circle, Jupiter is a little bit like a oval because of how fast it spins, it happens at 0:27 edit: SAME WITH SATURN

same with Uranus and Neptune too, but less noticeable

@Universal_Anomalies2 күн бұрын
I could, though it would be very difficult. I'd have to do a lot of guesswork and do a more conventional line-up for the size comparison. If I did, I'd want to include stars like Achernar, which rotates so fast that it is as oblate as the dwarf planet Haumea (3:08).

Planet 9/X?
@Universal_Anomalies15 сағат бұрын
Unfortunately planet 9 probably doesn't exist. After over a decade it hasn't been found and the unusual orbits found in the outer solar system which are used as evidence for it's existence can be explained without there being a ninth planet. One theory for the strange orbits is that there could have been a stellar flyby early in the solar system's history, possibly by a star that formed in the same star cluster as the sun, and that flyby could have caused the unusual grouping of orbits. Here's a short two minute simulation showing what such a flyby could have looked like: kzbin.info/www/bejne/nIDInWiXjKiFgNU.

Wait, is that light speed?
@cupcakemusical5399Күн бұрын
I dont think so. Light travels from one end of the sun to the other in 10 seconds, and 15 times a second for earth.
@Universal_Anomalies15 сағат бұрын
No, the speed the circle fills in at is 7285 km/s (real time), or 2.4% light speed.

Saturn's rings can't be seen because they are being viewed edge-on.
Yea, but "The Larger the Star, Planet, Moon, Dwarf Planet, Asteroid..." would make for a unnecessarily long title. "Celestial object" would work, but it sounds too astrological for my liking.
