And why it's called the Blue Wonder, The "Schaufelradbagger" owes the name "Blue Wonder" to Polish workers who was painting the machine. They painted the whole machine in blue, even though they later faced a fine. This is because the large-scale opencast mining technology should be in Germany painted in gray.

Stojí tam majestátně kdysi netvor co krájel uhelnou slať. Dnes už jen pomník co zarůstá krajinou. Je to nádhera drsná. Moc hezké video. Vím že jsem zaslechl že někde je opravdu jako pomník už nevím kde ale to je nepodstatné. V cz na mostecku je jich pár v provozu hezké je zajít se na ten kolos podívat když je v provozu .

toto rypadlo som videl iba na videach, ked som ho vsak uvidel na vlastne oci, nikdy by som si nedokazal uplne predstavit, ake obrovske to v skutocnosti je. ten prvy pohlad si zapamatam do konca zivota. obrovsky mix pocitov..mozno sa mi raz podari vidiet podobny stroj pri praci, zaujimalo by ma to :) som naozaj poteseny, ze si si toto video pozrel, tvoje slova ma potesili :) dakujem ti velmi pekne, Dasty :)

There's a video out there titled "Where's My TTT?" (Track-Type Tractor, Caterpiller Inc's term for a bulldozer). In that video, a Cat D5 (a decent size dozer) had been scooped up by one of these gargantuan mining machines, and was caught in its 'teeth' (giant scooping buckets). Made the several-ton dozer look like a toy.
