There's was another famous ponzi scheme Darkness ran by Jean-Pierre Von Rossem and in Formula One informus for his Moneytron sponsorship of a back marker team. After failing to get a Porsche engine deal for the team he went to Stutgart and set fire to one of his Porsches.
