great video. I liked the details and information you've provided with the old photos. The baby blue hue of Lake Huron from the air is awesome.

Saw this on Daytripping in Southern Ontario. Put together extremely well. Had no idea I was going to get a plane ride, too! What a wonderful way to learn about history. School was never like this. All the best. Dennis

So fortunate to actually live on the bluff, just North of town....been here since 1950 and have flown over the town (and salt mine) numerous times over the years! It is indeed....”the prettiest Town in Canada”!

Your great video came up on my feed today - very enjoyable. As a kid decades ago we lived in a cottage right next door to the lighthouse while my dad took additional training in Trenton for the RCAF. Last summer my wife and I took a trip and saw that the cottage is gone - replaced with a house. My plan was to capture video of the area with my sub-250g drone, having forgot about the nearby airport. The drone would not take off because of the built-in safety controls. So, very nice to see your work, though the areas I wanted to catch in greater detail where we hung out are a little further away in your views. We'll go back this summer and try again after having the restriction removed - and that will mean flying no higher than 30 meters and well away from the airport. Thank you so much for your informative video. I loved the historical components as well. If I may ask, what video editor do you use? //Tom

Thanks so much for watching and your long commentary! The video was a lot of fun to make! Very glad to rekindle memories! Enjoy the drone flight when you return. I use Final Cut Pro on a Mac for my editing software. Cheers and blue skies!

I’ve hauled from there and the Detroit Salt Mine, both very large suppliers. You can’t appreciate the scale until you’re there and see how big it is. The Detroit mine also has a interesting history.
