Um, they had locations and special equipment for sawing wood but it was still back breaking work. One man stood in a pit to pull the saw down and another man was on top to pull the saw back up or sometimes they used some sort of "spring".

@@wakjo7888 Dari catatan sejarah, muasal tumbuhan jati berasal dari Gujarat, India. Tumbuhan ini dibawa iring oleh pedagang India ke Tanah Jawa, pada abad ke-2 atau 1800 tahun yang lalu. Dalam perkembangannya, para raja di Jawa menilai jati sebagai pohon suci, lalu ditanam di sekitar candi tempat ritual mereka. Di zaman kerajaan Singasari, banyak dipakai membuat kapal-kapal perang untuk angkatan lautnya ketika berperang melawan tentara Mongol yang menyerbu ke Jawa. Masih ada sisa-sisa situs kapal perang tentara Mongolia, terutama dalam bentuk rangka kapal, barang pecah belah dan uang koin di dasar laut Jawa sekitar Tuban, sampai sekarang kadang masih ditemukan di Sungai Brantas, juga banyak dipakai untuk membangun rumah tradisional di sekitar Jepara, juga keraton-keraton kerajaan Islam di Jawa, bisa dilihat di keraton Cirebon, Solo. @@endisdc9559 belajar agamanya dimana, nak? ... Nabi Sulaiman tidak membuat kapal, melainkan dapat memerintahkan angin untuk menerbangkan apa saja yang dia sukai menuju kemana saja yang beliau mau. Sulaiman punya permadani yang terbuat dari kayu lunak. Permadani itu luas, bisa memuat banyak hal dalam jumlah besar. Bisa memuat bangunan, unta, kuda, burung, manusia dan jin dan berbagai barang perlengkapan yang diperlukan. Setelah semuanya terkumpul di atas permadani raksasa, lalu Sulaiman memerintahkan angin untuk menerbangkannya ke mana saja yang beliau inginkan. Mungkin, maksudnya kapal yang dibuat oleh Nabi Nuh, yach? ... I worked part time for The House Of Teak alternating between their Schaumberg and Wheeling, IL stores back in '89 and '90. Had a blast! Some of the best creations using the best wood... Now The House Of Teak is just in Florida. Lots of boating activity there, I guess.

Uhhh..no. A wild teak tree that size might be a hundred to a hundred and fifty years old, a plantation grown one, probably more like 75. A wild tree '600 years old' would most likely be 2-3 meters in diameter at chest height, the tree in the video is about 1 meter at best. As for the '1 billion', one billion what? A billion Indonesian rupiah is about 64,513 USD....still a pretty hefty sum for a single tree, so I assume the '1 billion' referred to is a 'guesstimate' at what the full retail price for all the lumber that could be theoretically realized if it were thus sold. Not a likely occurence, and the sawmill operators will surely never see anything approaching that figure. We'll leave what the sawers themselves are paid to the imaginations of the viewers. Clickbait...

Surprised these lads don’t have the temporary turning battens laid higher than the carriage bases. That would eliminate the deadweight lifting process! And the following end of that, and other logs, ends up too close to the blade during the through cut. That is avoidable by loading the leading end with a little more overhang, or if that is not possible, use a substantial lengthy push stick!!

There are exceptions that are common to each species that can differ from that rate of growth. It all depends on weather and the environment it grows in.

Looking at the stump end of this log it has the typical shape a teak tree trunk has. However, the coloring would be less desirable than the rich brown tones you often see in higher end use .
