Drago is by far the most fun deck in the format, in my opinion. Glad to see it do so well with a Top 16 finish! Takes me back to the golden days of PTCGO, right before the shutdown, when I used to play Mew3 GX religiously lol.

I was happy to see at least one Greninja in day two, and I was VERY surprised to not see at least one Blissey. But I guess because of the amount of Garde, it makes sense.

LDF, do you think tournaments should have open deck list? This would make the most sense to me because it I think it would allow for more strategic play then simple losing because you don’t know what your opponent has teched for. I don’t play competitively but this just seems like it would make sense to me. I heard that before open team sheet on VGC there was a lot of scouting out of opponents held items and move list. Seems like the same would happen in TCG. Wouldn’t be fair to go on stream then everyone knows your list. Just a thought.

Open team list is a huge improvement in VGC. Before, it was actually a disadvantage to play your round on stream since it would reveal a good amount of info to your future opponents. Close team sheets also favored popular players since they could have friends scout for them and relay information from their previous matches to them. Open team sheet has made playing the game feel a lot more strategic while still keeping the reading your opponent aspect alive and even more important of a skill since both players have the same knowledge. I only started playing the TCG this year, but I don't' know if a open deck list would have the same positive changes as it did with VGC. Even tho your pokemon, moves, abilities, and held items are public knowledge, Your IVs and EVs and natures aren't. And those can change a match up wildly, You still have to scout your opponents speed throughout the match, Making checking the order in which abilities proc and the order in which pokemon take chip in between turns crucial. An open deck list would reveal everything to your opponent and leave you with nothing to withhold from your opponent, nothing at all, the only thing left to bluff is what is in your current hand, and what has been prized I guess.
