I really, really miss walking into Blockbuster Friday night, renting 2 DVD movies, buying popcorn, sodas, and some chocolate, and watching it with my girlfriend on the couch together. We"'re married now, and we watch movies on Netflix with the kids. But I would do anything to get that feeling back. It's just much more fun, and you look forward to it rather than going through the controllers and streaming a movie.

Wow! A video store right next door to a pizza place. What a dynamite combination for any movie night! I surely do miss our Blockbuster stores here in my hometown or Erie, Pennsylvania. At one time, I can recall visiting one of two Blockbuster locations for video rentals back in the day when VHS tapes were quite popular. Both Blockbuster locations are now long gone. It's truly sad to lose a part of your past. I still love my collection of VHS tapes, as they contain a world of memories! Thank you so very much for making this documentary available to the KZbin community worldwide. I am forever inspired to make plans to visit this location. It looks like a wonderful place to visit. I will have to make arrangements to see the movies in a local Bend, Oregon hotel, as the 3000 mile trip from my home here in Erie might put me in danger of having to pay late rental fees. Kudos to the owners who are keeping this place going! Many happy returns from your friends in Erie, Pennsylvania!

I like the idea of Blockbuster coming back, but these days I have nothing I could even play a rented video on. Cant tell you how many decades its been since i had a vcr. I decluttered long ago to get rid of the excessive amount of various tech gadgets the 90s and 2000s produced so i also no longer have anything that can play a DVD. Cant remember the last time a PC was sold with an optical drive. I dont even STREAM enough movies to justify the purchase of dvd or vhs player, even if they're dirt cheap these days.

I managed a video store and arcade combo store when i was 17 back in 1986. It was exciting when the distributor rode up in a van and i could pick what was going to be rented. My boss was in charge of the x rated movies in the room of shame in the back with the black curtain. Since it was an arcade, my friends were always in and out so they could get free credits. I also got to choose what 45 rpm records went into the jukebox. 80s and 90s were great times, for sure.

Yes kids, there was a time in the early 90s and 2000's where you could go to a store with vhs tapes and dvd's and blu rays just became THE THING. You could walk in and rent a new video game amd return it on time or pay late fees. But you could still beat the game.. For about $100 you could grt a yearly membership allowing you a set amount of videos you can rent per month. This was a gem of a business. My family would go here atleast 2-3 times a week. And weed all leave with q new movie or id get my sticky hands on the new Mortal kombat or Gears of war maybe halo. This doesnt seem so lost in my memory or even seem like a long time ago. It was much better and more simpler of a time. And more discreet.. if you had a bad video game disc that wouldnt play u could just go rent the same game and switch the discs out 😂.

Well they sell merchandise which I believe you can buy online, they also get a lot of visitors coming from all over the world and the locals actually go in and rent movies. Now I’m not sure how much they are making but thank God it’s enough to stay open
