Was all the footage used from the Switch version? If so it does look like it runs a lot better than it did at launch, which was so ungodly horrible I couldn't watch even the 1st few minutes of gameplay. I do know it was patched at least once and I've heard there have been improvements in overall performance. Before I write any further, I'll await your response. Btw, great review... you did a fine job breaking the game down. I look forward to definitely playing it at some point in the future, whether it be on the Switch or a future handheld PC I've yet to buy. PS. Before I forget... if again your gameplay footage is from the Switch ver... is it taken from docked or handheld? Sometimes with Switch games, the docked mode can run/perform better than the handheld mode.

@sofaking1180 All of my footage is from the docked versions of games. All of them are captured on the switch in 720p at 30fps. The game did run alot better when making this video. It has a 1.9gig patch which from my testing showed improved performance in some areas. The game is not fully fixed but is entirely playable.

Great review. I beat it on pc while waiting for my switch backer copy. Pity about the performance. Theres a few metroidvanias on switch that really struggle. Thanks for the heads up and glad you liked it

I disagree bro, well at least the ones I played Blasphemous 1 and 2 Metroid dread I didn't have any problems with gameplay performance, quite the contrary, everything runs perfectly! In my honest opinion, the developers gave a shit about the Switch version, making a terrible port, and all this time after launch, the problems still being present only confirms the neglect.

@@TheWESTSIDE1967 i would get ps5 if you plan to play soon. No guarantee these games will play better on switch 2 BUT I certainly am hoping the same

@bigwayne1111 From the few min I've played, it does seem more stable but I have not fully tested it. I do know that the framerate seemed better too

@Tavicx I got mine from gamestop but I don't know of any other retailers carrying it. If that's not an option, you may have to get it from Amazon or Ebay.

@omarsalazar5782 It does have a patch, which I assume fixes some stuff, but the game is still broken. It is fully playable, but the framerate and crashing is still an issue.
