Check for partial disability or total disability. 4. Check if the rider is getting subtracted from the whole amount or if it's over and above. 5. Physical Test before taking term insurance. 6. Whenever you go to the hospital after purchasing term insurance maintain a proper file of medical history so that it can be shown as proof by your family in case the claim is rejected. Another point to clarify about zero cost term insurance is that they might be offering these plans at no extra cost than regular term insurance but they do come with a specific time period or year within which u must terminate your insurance to get back the amount. Which in case of many companies is around 51-57 years of age, after which u won't be protected under the plan. So check out for this and only then proceed with zero cost plans only and only if u can afford to terminate as per the companies terms and conditions to get back the amount and lose cover thereafter.

Since you promoted PB, let me call out that the details w.r.t certain riders in specific policies described on PB differs from that on the actual company websites. I went through a hurdle with PNB Metlife term insurance which I purchased from PB couple of years ago and ended up not continuing with it anymore. Its a long story for some other time. This month I decided again to buy a new policy but took it slow by comparing the HDFC Life Protect Plus 2 and Max Life Smart Secure Plus on PB with that on the company websites. The riders and respective calculations are very different. I reached out to the individual companies and was informed by HDFC and MAX both that I shouldn't be trusting the details on PB but their own. Since I follow you on YT, I request you to validate a few details of sponsors before promoting them on your videos. Thanks!

Thanks LLA for finance advises. your last video actually helped me plan my term plan properly and I agree that we should be taking regular pay option coz its is less in number and can invest other remaining amount else where and i too opted for same. Although later (after 2 yrs) i realized that this "regular pay" looks ok today. but having a burden to pay for a premium after 45-50+ age, no matter how much less it is but is a liability which if we miss can cause end of benefits of plan. Totally agree on Return of premium as its a trap but i feel limited pay like 10-12yr for 30+ age person is a good option. Coz we cant guarantee our own finances after say 15-20 yrs with this increase expenses. no matter how good we plan ...what you say?

I agree managing finances can be difficult at the age of 45-50 but looking at inflation rate, premium won’t matter much at that age if you’re 25-28 now coz premium amount will always remain same. And investing extra amount somewhere else can be drawn back too if situation is too tough to pay off premium

Note to everyone: Make sure you disclose your past avocation activities, like scuba diving, trekking etc with care. If you have done it just once/twice, and don't plan to do it again, better not to disclose it. Your premiums you get exorbitantly high unnecessarily
