When I saw the deck tech, I was *not* expecting you to bring this to Ranked queue. It looked like total jank, but I've never been so happy to be wrong. This is one of the coolest combo decks I've ever seen. Props to the guy who submitted the original and props to you for tuning it into this badass machine.

It’s interesting that this deck is popping up at the end of WoE but uses only older cards. Just goes to show how complicated the interactions between cards can get in mtg

I mean the meta doesn't really allow any setup turns right now unfortunately and we're playing cards like mirror box; this deck owes a lot of its power to relic of legends I've noticed, the difference of playing just a mirror box and saying go versus dumping all of our hand onto the battlefield on the third turn in match 2 was huge@@LegenVD

I had built a similair deck Ive been trying to work for some time, I havent updated it in awhile but here's a list. Basically thopter foundry like combo using Rona and Drafna to loop a 1 mana legendary artifact. @25:22 I don't see how opponent could have lethal with 6 mana and what he had in hand. They either Blitz the underdog, or play the other Trespasser (not sure there were 4 creatures in graveyards for both trespassers).. You end up with a Sheoldred and they don't. So it was the correct line in the end.

If we wanted to protect with Plaza we would need to tap all our blockers with Relic, hence being dead on board.

I had thoptryx in the original build for that reason. But I couldn't tap it for mana with the relic. And it wouldn't untap Rona when I played it. Felt a bit clunky. I'm happy with LVDs rebuild. Except that I left 1 copy of Veil of Assimilation in place of Malcator.

This would be a much more fun paper deck, where shortcutting is possible. I guess some people might like having to click through so many triggers, especially the way relic works on arena, but with the rope timer it's just anxiety fuel for me!

Opponents scooping is somewhat rare against this. Although, i can't tell if they are watching with intrigue. Or they are hoping you'll deck out. Game 2,...guy got to play 1 non land spell, then dead.

LVD what kind of sideboard would you build for this if you wanted to build into a best of 3?

Loran is a natural fit, but can't think of too many other cards. Need a critical mass of Legends to make it work, ideally between 2 and 3 mana. Diluting the deck with counterspells can help against sweepers but will hurt the combo potential.

Can someone explain to me why the opp with the soldiers deck did not attack for lethal? Do I miss something here? I know the opp still won the game on the next turn but give your opponent another chance of a turn doesn't often goes well in "best of 1". Magic in best of one is usually unforgiving.

Exile replaces the draw, so we never technically draw from an empty library. Same reason why you don't lose to decking with Underrealm Lich in play, since it replaces your draw step with a different effect.
