This commenter aint always wrong BUT it was not Uhtred who slayed Cnut. It was Brida herself once she kearned of Cnut's treachery in Ragnar's murder. She avenged him completely.

Man all Uhtred had to do was kill Brida and problems solved. There probably would not be a need for the latter half of Season 4 or all of Season 5 if that were so! Lol
