I thought it was just me that thought this. So many lessons! Patience, bravery, fear, love, heartbreak, humor. The list is endless. The bond that tied them together, on screen and off. And the bond that brought so many people around the world together. A great history lesson that shows what we have that they didn't and still overcame the odds. #Arselingforlife

What is most beautiful about this story is that it starts with uhtred adopted by danes, him being a saxon and then in the end aethelstan in a similar path. Love how uhtred helps alfred with wessex and then alfred's son helps uhtred with bebbanburgh. Its a beautiful story
