End of an era. My childhood K-Mart was the Harborcreek location. Loved your video on that one. The Grandview store was nice, too. So sorry to see K-Mart go. 😞. So cute with you all on the carousel! Take that with you! 🤣

Great Video! I love the shot of the “Hello !” Sign on the front door. 😊 I miss seeing that when I went to Kmart. I’m happy for the Kmart haul you guys got! I was able to get a reusable Kmart shopping tote at mine. You never know- we see Toys r us is being brought back to life and perhaps Kmart will be re-invented. I’ll keep shopping at Kmart as long as I can. ,

So many memories from this Kmart. I actually worked at this location a couple years ago and my late grandmother worked here as well. While it thrived during her time, it was definitely on its last legs when I worked there. I'm surprised it lasted this long after all the other Erie locations closed up. Fun fact: after they closed the Little Caesar's they converted that back room you were in into the intimates overstock storage and layaway storage for large appliances. It was not fun at all to navigate through there to find someone's stove.

PAL is a pal Trainer, So top leads were allowed to train new employee's and help them get acclimated to the retail environment. How do I know? I was a PAL trainer and worked for Kmart 25 years!

Another awesome video, even better having Kara and Richard and Kayla for good luck adds to the quality and fun. Can't believe how fast that store is clearing out. And sad too that Fast Eddie Dumpert (crediting you Wallie for the better name to that nasty man.) just lets storese close and good people lose their jobs. Good move to add the news piece on the KMart and the dude crying he has to go to WalMart far away. I'm surprised RiteAid is still around since Walgreens bought them and likes to shut many overlapping stores down. Please keep the funny touches in the videos. Need a laugh after slip sliding between Cat sits because people can't take 15 minutes to clear sidewalks (not complaining about the elderly but the younger ones who rather watch reality TV.) the Merry go around piece at the end was fun. If I got on it alone it would tilt over. Look forward to what you all have coming soon.

That Giant Eagle actually closed the same day that the Peach St Giant Eagle closed back in March 2017. Both stores were combined into the current Giant Eagle store that was built on Interchange Rd across from Millcreek Mall. That store opened March 23, 2017.

I have a story to tell you: So I was talking to an employee at a book store at my local mall. She then mentioned the closed Sears in the mall and she said "who knows what's gonna go there next, maybe a Walmart?" *THERE WERE ALREADY NOT ONE, BUT TWO WALMARTS about 4KM FROM EACH OTHER AND THE MALL WAS BETWEEN THEM*

I was sad to know the Kmart in Shaler plaza closed for good because I met my husband there back in 2002😭🤧 I live in Etna so I constantly went to Kmart for clothes for my boys and make up. Sad to see them gone but what a great video for Erie Kmart. Love the ending I needed a good laugh so thank u😂👏

I remember it being cool to go to super kmart, because they sold Parental Advisory CDs unlike walmart. My son will never understand the excitement a department store or a mall could bring. Dying retail has drastically changed trips. It's even crazier that they haven't put a dime into renovations since that time.

Hey Wallie, the Kmart in Belleville, MI has a Music & Video sign with different colors. I took a picture of it. They're not too far from University of Michigan whose colors are maize (yellow) and blue. On this sign, the M is blue and the word "music" is yellow. The "&" sign and the word "video" are bright red, not the faded red shown here. The "V" is the only thing the same as shown in your video.
