That's a really impressive performance for a gen1+ device. I'm sure those optics would also work well with modern tubes, if one makes a modified housing for them.

you dont always want both lens focused to the same point. CQB/anything hands on comes to mind. Plenty of people might focus one lens to arms length so they can work on a charge, on a casualty, or manipulate whatever they need to while still being able to then look up and see at distance. Flip pinhole/irises have been created to aid in this by allowing you to have a small opening you can quickly flip down to focus a lens up close

Save for the Gen1+ Armasight SPark CORE I had, it has some sort of UBER High Res Gen 1+ tube, seriously it had 70lp/mm whereas My personal Photonis Gen2+ Xd5 doesnt even quite have as high as that lol.. not sure how they did that?) I have an OH-1x20 NVG on the way from Ebay and I think it's the Russian version of the type 85. My question is - Are these tubes still able to be sourced? The Russian tubes that are coming with aren't likely to perform as well as yours.
@hypemilitaria6447 Жыл бұрын
The on-1 (он-1) should be using Ekran-OS EP33 or V8 tubes. These tubes are quite common in cheaper Gen 1 units and should be widely available (ebay had listings up for them from Russia).

No NNVT tubes are milspec unless you mean Chinese milspec. I watched one of chinas military recruiting videos though and it showed their PLA soldiers using digital NVG 10 devices. I don't know why they wouldn't use analog seeing as they have solid gen2 capabilities with some of their tubes even making gen2+ specs.

Realy good prefomance 👍 Also would these be good for airsoft?
@hypemilitaria64472 жыл бұрын
Probably, but being Gen 1, I'd imagine they're more prone to damage from lasers and focused beam flashlights due to lack of advanced bright light protection mechanisms. Also, for things like airsoft, I tend to run monoculars to keep my helmet light and to keep my other eye adjusted to the dark.

Was it mentioned in the video if these have any type of auto gating? Or will a simple flashlight damage the unit? If these are auto gated, it's a pretty amazing unit.
@hypemilitaria64472 жыл бұрын
Unfortunately, these don't have autogating. But according to the tube's online spec sheet (link in description), they do come with rudimentary bright light protection (probably lowering or shutting voltage to the tube if it draws too much current due to high photon flux to the photocathode)
